Left the cloistered environs of the Savoy hotel, in Wisconsin Ave. it was a nice place, as would be expected for the $$. (Plus parking) I feel that for the price they could have arranged better weather though.
Just up the road is the Washington National Cathedral, for episcopalian or best aligned with the C of E.
It is the highest building in DC, and apparently there was an earthquake in 2011 which damaged a number of the spires. Highlight is that Helen Keller and annie Sullivan left overs are buried here.
It is an impressive building with views really really far.
A view of really really far.
Bit like Hogwarts really, with lots of little chapels and crypts below.
Then we asked Julia, where the pentagon was..it's only the biggest office building in the world....nup...and does the pentagon have an address...of course not, because everyone knows where it is.....well being a tad time poor, and gave up after the third attempt, we headed north towards Atlantic City. The bridge from
Delaware bridge 7 ks long and $5.00 tollIt cost us more than $10 in tolls to get from DC to Atlantic City. The time share is in the middle of a township called Brigantine. Not quite the timeshare we have been used to at home, I.e almost a full house/uni, with a bit of space around, this being rather a somewhat more compact version. Predominately the visitors here must be less than 5 ft 6" and not much good with strong lighting. The ceilings are incredibly low and the lighting is quite subdued. But is good and the staff are very eager and accommodating. So we will see
